The main reason why Kerala stands strong in the tourism list is because of their backwaters. As per The Transparency International Survey, it is one of the safest travel destinations in India; which makes the International solo travelers to pick up this spot.
Situated on the south west part of India, the tropical Malabar Coast is famous for their Kattan Chaaya (Black Tea) and the relaxing stay in the Boat house. Kerala has numerous backwaters and the commercialized places for tourists to have a pleasant stay in the boat houses are the Aleppey, Kotayam, Kumarakom, Kutannad and Ashtamudi. The land of coconut trees is also otherwise known as the Spice Coast of India or the paradise of Ayurvedic medicine. Not to wonder why Christopher Columbus would have landed in Kerala and not any other part of the Western Ghats.
