Sunil Gavaskar – Little Master
Gavaskar got his name Little Master when he became the first cricketer to score more than 10,000 runs in the Test cricket while making a world record with 34 test hundreds.
Sachin Tendulkar – Master Blaster
Sachin got his name Master Blaster in after he beat Gavaskar’s World record.
Virat Kohli – Cheeku
Kohli got his name Cheeku from his coach who said that he looked like Cheeku Das- the rabbit from the Champak comic book.
MS Dhoni – Mahi
Mahendra Sing Dhoni was called Mahi by his friends and his family. When he gained fame, the name stuck on to him and people also started calling him Mahi.
Ajinkya Rahane – Jinx
Ajinkya Rahane got his name Jinx from Australian player Shane Warne while the duo were playing for Rajasthan Royals. Warne couldn’t pronounce his name and then he named him Jinx.
