The movie starts with the scene where Shiva – an Iyer boy tells his parents that he is ready to get married. As every Brahmin mother, his mother too makes sure to inform all their relatives especially Shiva’s aunt as her son married a Punjabi woman. The movie portrayed the typical dialogues that will be exchanged in an Iyer family when it  comes to wedding.

Though the movie was about homosexuality it was brought in with so much humour. The movie’s concept was explained through four states of matter – Solid, Liquid, Gas and Vapour. The explanations to these are very close to reality. These states explained the reactions of the family when one comes out as a Queer.

Dialogues like “Manni – you will save so much money on buying silk sarees” “So who will be the grooms side here?” “Will there even be a thali or shall we buy a gold poonal?” “Will the boy sit on his mother’s lap while getting married?” (In a brahmin’s wedding – the bride sits on her father’s lap while getting married) makes us believe that the family is thinking progressive towards their son’s wedding.

The extra essence of the Brahmin’s slang is an added plus point to the movie. Rather than it being a stereotype, it makes you easily connect to the characters in the movie.
