The ongoing lockdown does not stop the real love. With many weddings happening at the time of Social Distancing, BriHouk and Lindsey Leaverton’s wedding is a special crack as it happened at a Drive-In movie theatre.
As any other couple Bri and Lindsey met on a dating app. Soon after the duo went on a couple of dates, they professed their love for each other. This week the couple got married at the Drive-In theatre. Bri and Lindsey wore cowboy boots and gowns and walked the aisle on a dirt road. With about 80 cars on the ground with their friends and family, they got married.
The couple said that it was a true lesbian fashion of becoming girlfriends, falling in love and getting married. Bri said that when she met Lindsey she knew that she was ready to invest on her as a forever person. Shortly after starting to date, BriHouk and Lindsey Leaverton met each other’s family. Bri is a single mother and Lindsey had twin daughters. After 6 months of dating, Bri met Lindsey’s twins.
The couple stated that they booked a wedding venue even before the proposal as they knew they wanted to get married in the spring of 2020.The couple planned for the wedding for almost a year, which was scheduled for April this year. The couple said they realized soon enough that the virus will affect their wedding plan and moved it to the Drive-In theatre.
Lindsey said that, “In that moment we realized no one is promised tomorrow, and we didn’t want to wait a year, so that’s what made us want to move up the timeline.” Bri on an Instagram post found that the Drive-In movie theatre was still in operation. She made a few calls and they re-planned the entire wedding in 17 days’ time. But not just planning the wedding, Bri Houk also home-schooled all three children during this time.
The wedding was streamed online on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Lindsey said that they would still want a reception after the lockdown is lifted as she can’t wait to hug everybody.
