Ekta Kapoor, Indian Television and Film Producer released the first look of her forthcoming digital series ‘A Married Woman.’ The series is acclaimed to be based on a book by Manju Kapur.
Ekta’s caption read, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.”
A Married Woman stars Ridhi Dogra and Monica Dogra in the lead role. Manju Kapur’s book – Ek Aisi Kahani was a love story that began during the political unrest in the country in 1992. Ek Aisi Kahani depicts the story of Aastha, a middle-class woman with a loving family of a husband and kids gets into an unconventional relationship with another woman. “The story about two beautiful souls who rose beyond religious, sexual and societal boundaries to find each other.”
The teaser began with a voice over narration by Ridhi Dogra. She recited the Gulzar’s poem Aaj Phir Chaand ki. She said that in 2019, Supreme Court gave out the Ayodhya verdict after 27 years. She narrated that “when the country was at conflict raging with fire, there was an unknown love story blooming at the same time.”
The filming for ‘A Married Woman’ will be beginning soon.
