I have two kids and I am a single mother. I came out as a Lesbian after my second child birth. Being a single mother is hard in a country like India which does not assure any safety for women.  A mother has her duty as the caregiver and it really does not matter Lesbian mother or straight mother.  The Lesbian mother’s love is not downgrade to other mother’s love. I suppose that as a lesbian mom I am also more likely to be open to a child who is not straight or does not otherwise fit in the most-accepted categories of sexual and gender.

As the third wave of feminism focuses on gender, colour, ethnicity of women it is very much evident that even Homosexual relationship is involved in it. But it would make a better understanding for me if you tell how do we interpret it that it is very much talking about Lesbian relationship. Also I believe that that the third wave feminism was like 10 years ago and now a decade later it is the fourth wave of feminism that has taken over and it has nothing to say about Lesbians. If you have any information, let us know more about this.
