While expressing her interest in playing the role of Batwoman, a fan commented that the casting might prefer an openly LGBTQ+ actress. In response, Grimes candidly stated, “I’m bisexual.” When another fan inquired if she had just come out publicly, she replied with a touch of humour, “Yea, pretty sure I did. Lol.”

Further clarifying her journey, Grimes shared, “My bf is bisexual, and it was during conversations with him that it just clicked. Honestly feel stupid I didn’t come to the conclusion sooner lol.”

This open disclosure was met with overwhelming support from her fans, many of whom expressed pride and admiration for her honesty.

In an interview, Grimes revealed that she had an inkling of her bisexuality but hadn’t fully recognized it until discussions with her bisexual boyfriend brought clarity. She remarked, “Honestly feel stupid I didn’t come to the conclusion sooner lol.”

Following Ruby Rose’s departure from the Batwoman series, there was widespread speculation about who would take on the iconic role.
